Who I am

I am Liam Hargrove, and I have been reviewing online casinos for Australian players since 2016. I did not come to this from academia - I came up through hospitality and gaming venues, where I first saw how the machinery actually works, from how promotions are built to how payouts get processed. That hands-on grounding is the lens I bring to every review. Today I am the lead reviewer at Joe Fortune Review AU, where I personally test every site we cover.

My expertise

Bonuses. I have worked through hundreds of welcome offers and can read the real value of one in minutes. I know the difference between a clean 35x-on-bonus deal and a trap that is 50x on bonus-plus-deposit, with a AU$5 max bet and live games excluded. Licensing. I follow what MGA, UKGC and Curaçao licences actually protect, and I pay close attention to the Australian picture: online casino games are prohibited for operators to offer here under the Interactive Gambling Act 2001, the ACMA enforces that, and the Curaçao regime was overhauled under the new LOK framework from December 2024 - so an old-style seal means little now. How I test

I test every casino personally and with my own money - a real signup, a real deposit, real play and a real withdrawal request. A full test usually runs five to seven days, which is how long it takes to clear verification, work through a bonus and actually receive a payout. I keep notes and screenshots of each stage: the registration flow, support replies and withdrawal timings, all of which feed the review. Publishing and staying current

My reviews and notes are published here on Joe Fortune Review AU and read by Australian players each month. I track changes to Australian gambling law and ACMA enforcement and revise material when the rules or a casino's terms shift. If a site quietly worsens its withdrawal cap or bonus terms, the review gets updated and the change is dated.
